These are a simulated Interlocking Shingle commonly used on large roof areas as the shingles are larger than normal.
These shingles can also be called Victorian Shingles. They are wider and taller than most shingles at almost twice the size. They are idea for large roof areas and were commonly used large Victorian style houses, train stations and even barns as it was quicker to install these shingles and they covered more area per single.
NOTE: Because of the large overlap, at least 60-70% of one row to the next a sheet of these shingles doesn't go as far as most of our other shingles. Please be aware of this consumption of the shingles when ordering. ALSO: these shingles were not used for cap shingles so you will want to also buy a package of our 3-Tab shingles (D5001) in the same color to finish of your roofing project.
These laser cut simulated Shingles come on two sheets to a package. The strips are permanent self-adhesive, just peel and stick, real easy to install. The shingles are a diamond shape with no visible seams. When installed they take on a true 3D appearance just like the real ones. With a light painting of alcohol/India ink solution the shingles take on a nice aged appearance, a little more, more aging, it's all up to you. Check the photo at top, half is stained the other half is not.
You get 2 sheets that measure 4.5 inches wide by 12 inches long. With a 60% overlap the shingles would cover the area of a single sheet. The two sheets have approximately 90 square inches of shingles which will cover approximately 36 square inches of area.
