Newly Refreshed and Re-Released... Delaney Iron Works
Delaney Iron Works is a plastic-injection molded structure kit.
This structure kit comes into the Rail-Scale-Models product line-up as part of the acquisition of the Railway Design Associates structure kit business.
The Delaney Iron Works industrial complex kit is a mix of multiple structural components - stone, brick, concrete, and wood. It depicts a typical industrial business common in many areas of the country before the turn of the 20th century.
Each portion of the structure is essentially stand-alone - giving the modeler to build the complex as shown, or kit-bash into other configurations. The Stone Structure includes a clerestory style roof that gives it a unique look; the Brick Structure includes crown-style gable end and the attached Elevated Walkway; the Warehouse depicts a pre-cast concrete structure with a loading dock on each side. The kit includes a sprue of detail parts to model a loading dock, staircases, chimneys, roof exhausts, a boiler assembly, etc, and includes laser-cut component details for signage and the hoist mechanism.
The sample model shown was masterfully built by Leon Durham.
Footprint: 18” x 4.5”
NOTE: Figures, vehicles, ground scenery, railroad track, and general diorama construction materials shown in model photos are not included in the kit. Pictures shown are of the pilot model construction; production models might vary slightly.
