Lumber Stacks.
This item represents a stack of rough-cut lumber. Typically, rough-cut lumber comes from a sawmill and is ready to be dried in a kiln. Pieces of lumber have yet to be cut to size or graded, so you'll see a stack of similar thickness but variable widths and lengths.
This kit includes two (2) sheets of large lumber stacks - each sheet is approximately 10.25" long x 5.875" wide on 1/32" basswood - simulating ~3" wide lumber at ~16' lengths x 10' wide. It includes material to create lumber stacks in a variety of configurations - several short stacks, or one tall stack about 1" high.
Modeler may use layers as desired in a sawmill scene, on flat cars, or at a lumber yard. Each "layer" is a unique configuration, and several "layers" include pre-cut lines in which a center section may be removed to create a "hollow" center - to allow additional weight to be added to the stack to use as a freight car load on a flat car.
Use own scale 4"x4" stripwood to use as stack risers and banding around the sides.
