Newly Released... South Mountain 'Still & Supply is now available.
South Mountain 'Still & Supply is a mix of plastic-injection molded structure components and laser-cut components. It is a true 'multi-media" structure featuring stone and wood... a unique structure for your model railroad empire.
Injection-molded components for this structure kit come into the Rail-Scale-Models product line-up as part of the acquisition of the Railway Design Associates structure kit business. ...this structure kit is newly imagined, newly designed, and newly released...
The South Mountain 'Still & Supply structure depicts a stone masonry first level, and clapboard structure for the upper levels and staircase structure along the side. The name of the structure depicts that it's a distilling supply house, but of course can be modified to fit the needs of any modeler's layout and railroad.
The kit includes injection-molded walls for the stone section, and laser-cut components for the upper level structure, staircase structure, decking, roof cards, roofing shingles (3-tab shingles and tarpaper strips), window and door assemblies for the lower level, and awning supports. It includes stryene strip and basswood stripwood for both bracing and details of the structure, and includes Tichy windows for the laser-cut structure sections and Tichy chimney and stove pipes.
The structure builds up into a fairly large structure - with plenty of height.
The sample model shown was masterfully built by David Zimmerman.
Footprint: 7-3/8” x 5-1/4” x 7-7/8" tall (to top of chimney)
NOTE: Figures, vehicles, ground scenery, railroad track, and general diorama construction materials shown in model photos are not included in the kit. Pictures shown are of the pilot model construction; production models might vary slightly.
