Fall Creek Passenger Station is a laser-cut craftsman kit.
This craftsman kit comes into the Rail-Scale-Models product line-up as part of the recent acquisition of the Rusty Stumps Scale Models laser-cut craftsman kit business.
Fall Creek Passenger Station is based on a late 1800's C&O standard station design taken from actual C&O plans; much effort went into reproducing the Station as close to prototype as possible.
The structure is constructed with 1/32" plywood sub-walls covered, overlayed with 1/64" RC-Board laser-etched with wall details . Scale stripwood is used for exterior trim, and the gingerbread is laser-cut from 1/32" plywood. Roofing material is laser cut 3-tab shingles strips with self-adhesive backing. The Platform consists of an interlaced framework of laser cut 1/32" plywood topped with an engraved plank sheet of 1/32" plywood.
The footprint of the Station building base is 32' long by 16' wide with the bay window protruding another 3'. The roof overhang footprint is 40' long by 24' wide. In HO scale, the dimensions are 4-3/8" long by 2-1/4" with roof overhang at 5-1/2" long by 3-3/8" wide.
Overall height of the Station building is 25' (3-1/2" in HO scale) from base to top of chimney. When on the Platform the height is 26.5' (3-5/8" in HO scale). The Platform dimensions are 48' long by 40' deep - 6-5/8" long by 5-1/2" deep in HO scale. The Platform height is 2'-9" from ground to top of boards - 3/8" in HO scale.
