Randy's Service Center is the first kit in a series of downtown urban background flats - called The Front Street Series. Randy's has a "street address" - 411 Front Street. There are several additional background structures to follow in this series - each with a neighboring Front Street address.
Randy's Service Center represents a local Auto Service and Heavy Truck Service shop - with appropriately-sized roll-up garage doors. The Truck Service side of the structure sets out a bit further than the Auto Service side, and both sections of the structure set onto a concrete sidewalk / driveway / base. Each structure is laser-scribed masonry - the Truck Service side is cinder block, and the Auto Service side is brick. The entire structure depicts painted block and brick - an old paint job that is showing its age.
The kit comes with tons of cool details - Tichy windows & doors for the masonry structure; laser-cut garage door assemblies; a sheet of signage for structure signs, the roof-top billboard, and various posters relevant to a service shop. It also includes laser-cut details and white metal castings to finish the scene - ladders, interior lift mechanisms to be visible through an open garage doors, drums, barrels, tires, crates, and a 3-piece welding cart assembly. Lots of great stuff in this kit !!
This structure will look great in an urban or sub-urban area that resides on the maybe "not so nice" side of the tracks.... but for sure, you'll get quality auto and truck service at Randy's !
